Do not throw shoes into your luggage willy nilly. This can be gross. Use bags or washable bags to put your shoes in before putting them in the luggage. This is also true for dirty laundry. You should separate the dirty laundry from the clean for your trip home. Shower caps also work for shoes!

7. Plan Outfits

Many people just pack their favorite clothing items without making outfits. This means when they get to their destination, they have no nice clothing that goes with the other clothing.  When you are leaving for less than 10 days lay out each outfit that you plan on wearing. You should bring a few extras to ensure you have the right clothing for different temperatures. This way, you will not forget anything.

8. Use Beauty Travel Hacks

Using beauty travel hacks will allow you to bring all your favorites without spending a ton on travel size items and other things you may need. Plus, it allows you to take fewer items to keep luggage light.

9. Extra Purses

While you should not take any extra purses if you must to match a gown for a night out, ensure that it packs easily. What we mean by this is make sure you can fold it. If you cannot fold the purse, fill it with items to save space. You can also add toiletries to the purse if it does not fold flat.

10. Ditch the Soap

Many people bring mini travel sized soaps inside their suitcases in a small bag. However, you don’t even need to bother with that anymore. Think about it, every hotel that you will go to will have soap. The only reason you would need to take soap is if you are traveling outside the country and not staying in a hotel or if you are camping somewhere. Only bring soap if you absolutely need it, otherwise, it is usually provided!
